Playing the Long Game to Beat Machines
Released on Sunday, July 21, 2019•TECHNOLOGY
Long-term dynamics like demographics and cycles are under-appreciated, but also are a way for humans to beat machines. By way of example, Baby Boomers and GenX each dramatically pushed up the stock prices of their generational "FANG", creating returns in excess of 117,000% over 20 years. Millennials, larger than both Baby Boomers and GenX, are coming of age economically and will influence their generational FANG. Labor shortages worldwide will also spur on automation and AI causing both the suppliers and users of those themes to benefit tremendously.
