Bulls, Bears, & Bloch
As the former chief market technician at Raymond James & Associates, Inc., a member of the New York Stock Exchange/SIPC, Ralph Bloch produced technical analysis of the equity markets and individual stocks. He wrote daily market reports that were transmitted to Raymond James' retail and institutional clients. His weekly column is published in the Mansfield Stock Chart Service, and he was an original contributor to The Encyclopedia of Stock Market Technicians. Mr. Bloch's investment career began 50 years ago with Merrill Lynch, and he has been writing weekly commentaries since 1962. He is a guest lecturer at New York University Graduate School, Fairleigh Dickinson University, the University of Florida, and Darden Graduate School at the University of Virginia. Mr. Bloch appears regularly on CNBC and was the first technical analyst to call for a bear market in January of 2000.
