About Robert

Robert Mitchnick is the head of digital assets for BlackRock and a member of the Corp Exec-COO Executive team. He is responsible for driving BlackRock's digital assets strategy, including working with internal business units to develop and execute strategic initiatives around digital assets. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Mitchnick spent time at CPP Investment Board in Public Markets and Private Investments and at Ripple. While at Ripple, Robert co-authored A Fundamental Valuation Framework for Cryptoassets with John Bates Clark medal winner Susan Athey. Mr. Mitchnick has BA & BCOM degrees from Queen's University and an MBA from Stanford, where he graduated as an Arjay Miller Scholar and the Robichek Award winner in Finance. He holds a Blockchain Technologies Certification from MIT Sloan, and is a CFA Charterholder.
