The daily chart of the VIX is still locked in the 38-58 range, so I wanted to see if the weekly chart gave us any more information. After the highs last year, the weekly chart shows a series of lower highs and the ten- and 20-week MAs, which turned positive on 7/25/08 with the S&P at 1257, reversed on 1/23/09 at 831.
