About Deron
Deron Wagner is a professional trader, former hedge fund manager, and founder of Morpheus Trading Group (MTG), America's first IEAC-accredited trading education firm. A former proprietary trader who trained professionals at major US trading firms, he has authored five books on trading published by Bloomberg Press, Wiley, and McGraw-Hill, including the Gold Medal–winning Trading ETFs: Gaining an Edge with Technical Analysis.
Mr. Wagner has appeared on CNBC, ABC, and Yahoo! FinanceVision, and has been a featured speaker at MoneyShow conferences for over 20 years, including internationally at MoneyShow Shanghai. His swing trading newsletter, The Wagner Daily, has been in continuous publication since 2002. Through MTG, he has educated over 5,000 paid students.
Known for his psychology-first approach to trading education, Deron's core philosophy—"Trade What You See, Not What You Think"—emphasizes the behavioral discipline that separates consistently profitable traders from the rest. In 2024, MTG became the first trading education company worldwide to achieve IEAC accreditation. Wagner is currently expanding MTG's flagship TradeQuest certification program across the United States and Southeast Asia.
