Our community has suffered a tremendous loss in the passing of our dear friend Clayton Makepeace. Although investors may not have heard of him, he has touched the lives of millions of them over his decades-long copywriting career in the financial newsletter industry. He has been called “The World’s Highest-Paid Copywriter” and the “Jedi Master of Copywriting” among other things, but those of us who knew him personally, know him for his amazing joie de vivre, unstinting generosity, and endless supply of colorful stories. While his accomplishments have been enormous, it is his role as a loving husband and father that are his greatest pride. Our thoughts and prayers go to his beautiful wife, Wendy, and his four children Michelle, Clayton, Katherine, and Justin, whom he so cherished.
