Cheesecake Factory Inc. (CAKE) operates a chain of casual dining restaurants under The Cheesecake Factory, North Italia, and a collection of FRC brands, for a total of about 360 restaurants. Price traced out another cup and handle and completed the pattern recently, with the stock ripping to an all-time high, observes John Eade, president of Argus Research.
CAKE has been a strong performer since it came public in 1992 at $2.60, although the ride higher has seen some wicked volatility.

The stock has tracked both the performance of the S&P 500 Index (^SPX) and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) since it started trading. The shares peaked at an all-time high of $57 in 2021, then traced out a massive C&H formation. They fell all the way to $24 in 2022, recovered, then broke out in mid-2025.
CAKE topped again at $67 in July 2025, then dropped all the way to the low $40s by November. But after the recent move, we would put a stop-loss just under chart support at $68. With no overhead resistance, we would take profits at $82, with the potential for more gains over the long term.
